Yeah, that's right Mardi Gras is this weekend but let's rewind first.
This past weekend was the kick off of the parades. I use to be really into Mardi Gras but for the last few years I've been pretty eeeh about it. However, I'm into it again solely because you're at the age where Mardi Gras + friends = so many things. So I was planning on going with the "group" but my best friend went out of town, I worked, I was sick, and we all decided against going. I know, we are super cool. So yeah, I worked. I almost stayed late too. But, I got to go home and sleep. That was pretty much my entire weekend. Then Sunday at 10pm my best friend called me and told me she was seeing Hannibal Rising (not a movie I wanted to see) with the group and desperately wanted me to go. So, I threw on my shoes and headed out the door. I got there 15 minutes late but seeing as how I work at a theater I knew I would only miss previews. Well on the phone I told my friend I refused to sit next to a co-worker of mine who ran into her and decided to stay and watch the movie with them. Simply because he's had a crush on me for nearly a year and well sitting next to him in a movie would give him too many ideas. So, when I got to the movie (which surprisingly was pretty pact for a Sunday night) I see the group. It was the co-worker, my best friends b/f, my best friend, empty seat, three guys part of the group. So, I went to my seat that was saved for me. Aww... they are so sweet. I ended up sitting next to a guy I do know but have never hung out with but he's cool. He kinda has a thing for me which I don't share the feelings but he is amusing. As far as the movie goes, ewww. It was pretty damn boring and slow and some parts were nasty. You actually feel bad for Hannibal. Doesn't excuse his pyscho path behavior but still. Then after the movie at like 1 we all hung out in front of the theater slowly making our way to our cars. We didn't do much at all but it was a ton of fun. We didn't talk that much either but seeing as how I had a shit ass day it made up for it. I was pretty wrapped up in work before because we were able to apply for assistant manager and this so-called friend of mine applied and decided to make me look bad by telling the 1st assistant manager a lie about me trying to get me in trouble. Needless to say he didn't care but still she was a little bitch for doing it. I was just so pissed so getting out and hanging with fun people was what I needed. Now everyone is going to Mardi Gras so I hope I can get off work in time to go. Screw V-day we want Mardi Gras- a time to party! lol
